The integration of the players will help the Building Automation take off
According to the latest report from Navigant Research, if in 2021 the BAS market reaches a turnover of 100 billion it will also be thanks to the producers using innovation today.
Building Automation has now become an essential infrastructure in any product/service for the energy management of a technologically advanced building. From simple, functional solutions, building automation systems are becoming complex, with open architectures and, most importantly, suited to integration thanks to modern digital technologies. A new publication prepared by Navigant Research on Commercial Building Automation Systems explains why. The reason lies in the fact that, automating the various technological systems of a building (from heating to ventilation, from lighting to safety) within an integrated logic allows to achieve significant levels of optimization and functionality, capable of substantially improving the energy efficiency and comfort perceived by the occupants.
A 100 BILLION DOLLAR MARKET. On these assumptions, the forecasts made by Navigant Research describe an industry that is expected to grow worldwide at a cost assigned to these services in high rise: from $ 56.9 billion in 2013 to $ 100.00 billion by 2021.
TOWARDS TRUE INTEGRATION. The novelty that is giving boost to the sector is the awareness of the players that true innovation in building automation is not in the product but in the system (integrated). In other words, if until recently systems were produced by a single company and brought directly to the customer, as if they were standalone systems, now transversal collaborations are searched to increase the benefits conveyed by the industry compared to traditional building. An approach that reveals new scenarios also in terms of the definition and sharing of standards, an essential aspect of the success of the entire industry.
